The yellow blooming Damiana plant (Turnera diffusa) with aromatic smell has already been used by the Aztecs in Central America for the preparation of a love potion for man and woman. For many decades the plant had been desired as means of exchange by the Indian tribes due to its potency-enhancing effect. The tropical plant excretes an essential oil on the bottom side of the leaves. There, the „substance“ for more sensuality is contained. This very day, Turnera is called „rompe camisa macho“ or „Hierba del Venado“ in the vernacular which means „tears the shirt of the man“.
